7 Simple Steps for a Smooth Journey from Springfield MA to Boston Logan Airport

Starting Your Journey in Springfield MA to Boston Logan Airport

Your journey to Boston Logan Airport begins in Springfield, Massachusetts. Springfield’s Union Station is a historic and convenient transportation hub, offering various services, including Greyhound buses. Arrive a bit early to get settled and take in the station’s classic architecture. Once you’re ready, head to the Greyhound terminal to board your bus.

History of the Springfield Union Station

Springfield’s Union Station, originally opened in 1926, served as a grand transportation hub connecting Western Massachusetts to major cities. After falling into disrepair and closing in 1973, the station underwent a major restoration, reopening in 2017 as a modern transportation center. Today, it hosts Amtrak routes like the Northeast Regional and Lake Shore Limited, connecting Springfield to Boston, New York, and beyond. Union Station also serves as a hub for bus lines including Greyhound and Peter Pan, providing extensive regional and long-distance connections. The station’s revival has made it a key gateway for travelers in the Northeast.

Tips: If you are a solo female traveler, it’s probably best to take a bus during the day as this area of town can get a little scary at night.

Just Got Complimented by TSA

Well I just received the finest compliment from a TSA Agent. For some reason, I think compliments from them are rare, since they see and deal with so many people everyday, but my bag was searched (that’s fine) and he said my bag was the most organized bag he has ever seen. That made my day. I take pride in my packing abilities. My latest addition is the pink packing cubes. I’ll write a review on them soon and let you know if these work for me, pros and cons, etc., but in the meantime check them out here Pink Packing Cubes.
